Viridian Financial Group’s three-day IWD celebration empowered women with insights on wealth, wellness, and leadership.
At Viridian Financial Group, we transformed International Women’s Day into a three-day celebration of knowledge-sharing, empowerment, and community-building. Between March 4 and 8, we hosted a series of hybrid events—both in person and online—aimed at sparking meaningful dialogue and driving lasting change. Here’s a look at our extended celebration and the insights we’ll carry forward.
Day 1: Pave the Way & SAGE Women’s Health – Conquering Health & Wealth
We kicked off our celebration with a Pave the Way workshop led by Melissa Goodman, Private Portfolio Manager and Founder of PTW, and Melanie White, CEO & Co-Founder of SAGE Women’s Health. Their session highlighted how physical well-being and financial literacy intersect, especially for women juggling career demands alongside personal responsibilities.
- Highlight: Both Melissa and Melanie emphasized that investing in your body and mind is as crucial as any financial investment. Feeling run-down or stressed can undermine everything from daily performance to long-term career progression.
- Why It Matters: Women often shoulder multiple roles—breadwinner, carer, community leader—leaving little room to prioritise wellness. By uniting essential financial insights with practical health strategies, the workshop showed how small, proactive changes can significantly boost resilience and career growth while preventing burnout. The message was clear: true success rests on both a strong balance sheet and a thriving, energised self.
Day 2: Accelerate Action with Tracey Waring
Aligning with the 2025 themes “March Forward” and “Accelerate Action,” Tracey Waring brought her dynamic energy and decades of professional experience to the virtual stage.
- Key Message: True transformation begins when we reclaim our personal power—letting go of self-doubt, speaking up, and taking charge of our own paths.
- Memorable Moment: Hearing Tracey’s personal mantra, “If it is to be, it’s up to me,” resonated deeply with everyone, many of whom left feeling more motivated than ever to push past internal barriers and “march” toward their goals.
Day 3: Leadership & Empowerment with Beverley Pinder OAM
On our final event day, Beverley Pinder OAM—former Councillor, City of Melbourne and Miss Universe Australia, accomplished PR professional, and community advocate shared her unique blend of personal stories and professional insights.
- Focus: Leading with compassion, giving back, and mentoring the next generation.
- Standout Lesson: Beverley’s emphasis on community-driven impact. She underscored the power of volunteering, mentoring, and simply offering a helping hand to those in need, reminding us that leadership is most impactful when it uplifts others.
A Note of Gratitude
Over these three days, we saw firsthand how much representation matters: when women step into leadership roles—on stage, in boardrooms, and even at home—everyone’s aspirations grow. This celebration wouldn’t have been possible without our internal team, dedicated speakers, and those tirelessly working behind the scenes to champion diverse voices. Together, we reaffirmed that every voice counts and that cultivating inclusive spaces elevates our entire industry, creating a future where no one’s potential goes unseen.
