Inaugral Foundation Community Cup Golf Challenge Raises Over $120,000

The Viridian Foundation Community Cup Golf Challenge was held on Monday, October 30 at The Metropolitan Golf Club in Victoria. The event was aimed at celebrating the importance of being a force for good in the communities we serve and raising awareness and funds in key areas of need. Over 130 guests attended, including 33 corporate sponsors who generously supported the inaugural event.

The event raised money for five core philanthropic causes that the foundation is committed to, namely: Mental Health and Wellbeing, Family and Domestic Violence, Homelessness, Health and Medical Research, and Environmental Impact and Climate Change.

During lunch, special guests Carole Le, Epworth Research Program Manager, and Justin Dickinson, CEO of The Big Umbrella, showcased the great work their respective organisations are facilitating in areas such as pancreatic and broader cancer research, as well as food security, homelessness, and disaster relief.

The day’s live auction, hosted by Halli Moore from Channel 9’s “The Block” and Buxton Brighton, raised more than $120k to further accelerate the work of the Foundation. It was a humbling and privileged day for all those who attended.

Our gratitude goes out to our inaugural sponsors, particularly Platinum Sponsor PAN-Tribal Asset Management Pty Ltd, which was the principal sponsor for both the National Step Challenge to End Pancreatic Cancer and the inaugural 2023 Community Cup Golf Challenge.

We would also like to thank our Premium Associate Sponsors, Channel Capital, Spire Capital, and Ironbark Asset Management, as well as our Associate Sponsors: T Rowe Price, Pendal Group (Perpetual), Macquarie Asset Management, Colonial First State Global Asset Management, and BT Panorama. Our Partner Sponsors were Principal Asset Management, TAL, Global XETFs, Paradice Investment Management, Partners Group, and Dexus (AMP Capital). Our Hole Sponsors included Pinnacle Investment Management, CBA, Allan Gray, Bell Asset Management, JDV Group, Nick Theodossi Prestige Cars/Brighton BMW, and Warakirri Asset Management. Finally, special thanks to our Principal Supporters: Levantine Hill, AFL, Callaway, Buxton, Epworth Medical Foundation, The Big Umbrella Foundation, Drummond Golf, Yering Gorge Cottages, The National, The Metropolitan GC, Rossdale GC, and Golf Select.
